Welcome back!! I hope you all had an amazing break! We are off to a great first week back to school! Over the next few days we will be reviewing our classroom rules and getting settled into the school routine again. 😉 Before the break, I didn't get a chance to send out the slide show of all the fun activities we did during the last week before Christmas vacation. No Homework This Week
There will be no homework this week. Please continue to have your child read to you 15-20 minutes every night. We will not start homework again until January 13th.This Week We Are Learning....
Reading Comprehension*We are reviewing the difference between fiction vs. non-fiction
*We are learning how to identify the main idea of a non-fiction text.
Word Study
We are reviewing the long i (silent e) pattern. There will not be a spelling test on this pattern.
Math
We are learning how to use the take from 10 strategy to solve subtraction problems.
Writing/Grammar
We are learning about nouns (person, place, or thing).
